BOOKEEPER / OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

THE COMPANY

Established in 1999, Receptional is a successful, but friendly digital marketing agency.

Our 20-strong team regularly wins awards for its work and we have an array of established clients (big brands such as Ladbrokes, the Ramblers, SwimShop.co.uk, the Chartered Management Institute and the British Horse Society).

We are looking for a part-time bookkeeper and office administrator to help us build on our success.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate should be:

  • Self-motivated
  • Proficient at working to deadlines
  • Able to work carefully and accurately
  • Experienced with Sage’s accounting software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

THE ROLE

This is a part time position. The main duties are bookkeeping (inputting invoices/statements) and office management.

Bookkeeping:

  • Sales/Purchase ledger – issuing outgoing invoices and paying incoming invoices
  • Credit control – chasing payment for clients
  • Maintaining financial records in Sage and managing petty cash
  • Monitoring our bank balance
  • Checking and paying employees’ expense claims

Office Management:

  • Liaising with our payroll company to ensure employees are paid appropriately and on time
  • Maintaining employee records. Liaising with HR advisor as required
  • Maintaining the records necessary to ensure Receptional meets it health & safety obligations (through liaison with our H&S advisors)
  • Negotiating terms with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Ordering office stationery and equipment
  • Other duties as required

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This is a part-time role (16 hours per week) with flexible working hours.

You will be based at our office in Flitwick, Beds.

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director.

The salary for the role is £10-12 per hour, dependent on experience.
