Receptional's Pay-Per-Click training (PPC training) courses are available for anyone that would like to further their knowledge of PPC advertising, and are suitable for all levels of user as the training is tailored to your requirements and level of experience. Our aim is to give you the in-depth insight and knowledge required to effectively manage your PPC activity in-house, rather than outsource it to an agency.

Unlike most other courses, our bespoke training sessions are entirely customised to your individual or group needs and application. What you learn depends on your current level of knowledge and experience with the PPC platforms.

Our training team not only want to give you the theory of how to manage campaigns effectively, but practical experience too by giving examples of the practical application of course teachings during your training session.

With this is mind, before we start any training with you; we think it best to get a brief from you on your current use and application of PPC advertising, your aims, aspirations and goals of the training to enable you to get the most from your time with us.

PPC Training for the Beginner:

  • Keyword research, tools and methodologies
  • Market/industry analysis and tools used for competitive and market intelligence
  • Introduction to account structure & targeting
  • Introduction to the search and content networks
  • Keyword match types and bidding, and the use of negative keywords
  • Creating Ads - Best practice methods for writing captivating ad copy
  • Evaluating performance using AdWords reports
  • Account optimisation- Spending the budget effectively

Intermediate/Advanced PPC Training:

  • Advanced keywords research - additional tools
  • Market/industry analysis and tools used for competitive and market intelligence
  • AdWords Editor- Advanced features & functions
  • Advanced ad copy - dynamic keyword insertion and other tips
  • Ad scheduling - displaying ads by day and time based on profitability
  • Keyword bidding strategies and optimal ad positioning
  • Evaluating performance using AdWords reports- Advanced features and options
  • Using analytics to determine success- Advanced custom reporting and segmentation
  • Using external tools to analyse and forecast performance
  • Managing Budgets More Effectively/Intelligently
  • Making better use of the content network through placement targeting
  • Tracking offline conversions
  • Advanced content network use - including remarketing

By the end of your training session, you will be able to implement and manage an effective PPC campaign, analyse and report on its effectiveness, and identify areas that require optimisation. At the end of the training session, handouts will be provided for all attendees to takeaway with them for everything that was covered in the training session.

This training will ultimately allow you to develop your in-house team into proficient PPC account managers, and all at a fraction of the cost of outsourcing the service to an agency. To ensure that you get the most from your time with us, we also provide post-training support via both email and telephone for one month to help you follow through on what you have learnt from your time with us.

Where, when and how?

All courses last for one day (10am-5pm) and include lunch, snacks and drinks for the duration of the training session. (Lunch typically consists of a buffet lunch; please advise us on application of vegetarian, allergies or other preferences). The course also includes all take away materials for future reference, as well as two hours of phone and email support.

We are also able to offer training at your office for an increased cost (reflective of travel & expenses), the price of which is available on request and dependant on the number the participants, travelling time/distance, etc.
