Twitter has published a list of the top 10 Twitter Trends in 2010.
A staggering 25 billion Tweets were published in 2010. Twitter grouped multiple related terms into topics as they compiled this list. Therefore the FIFA World Cup list will have a vast array of terms given the number of countries and players that were trending during the competition, as well as the recent FIFA World Cup host announcement.

Numbers 2, 5 and 10 relate to the FIFA World Cup, while numbers 3 and 9 are films. Technology was a popular choice of discussion on Twitter too this year, with the Apple iPad and Google Android trending. Justin Bieber is the most-loved “musician” on Twitter. Twitter can be used by adults and people with taste too.
