The conference season is well and truly upon us. Here is a list of events that in which Receptional have been asked to participate over the next couple of months. If you are able to come to any of the events, please do look us up and come and introduce yourself to one of the team.

24th October: SES @ A4U

We are running a four hour training workshop on Link building strategy

and reputation management at London’s Excel centre.

25th – 26th October : A4U Expo and Conference

A4U is primarily targeted towards the affiliate market. Of course affiliates want and need Internet Marketing too, and Receptional does advise companies on their affiliate marketing strategy.

At the conference we are represented by Lisa Newman, Hayley Tillson and Dixon Jones. We are on the "Extreme SEO Q&A" panel on Day 1 and "The changing nature of search" on Day 2.

31st October – 1st November: SMX Stockholm, Sweden

SMX or "Search Marketing Expo" is the new creation from Danny Sullivan and Chris Sherman.

Dixon Jones will be representing Receptional and on Day 1 is discussing "Cutting edge linking tactics" on the podium with Rand Fischkin from SEOmoz, Charles Lumley from Relevent Traffic, Vanessa Fox (best known for her work at Google on Webmaster tools) and Adam Lasnik, who is from the search quality team at Google.

The topic is ‘Search in a universal world’

which relates to the way in which all the search engines are starting to blend results from different types of search.

7th November – Screenpages User Group Presentation

Our Pindar/Screenpages clients have been invited to this exclusive event at the Ambassador Hotel in Euston. If you are a Screenpages client and missed the invitation, please let us know.

Irene Furlan and Lisa Newman will both be there from Receptional discussing PPCcampaign management and we also hope to be able to talk one on one with clients looking for more insight into their specific campaigns.

15th – 16th November: SMX London

If you can’t make it all the way to Stockholm, there is a slightly larger version of SMX; the London show is at the Hilton London Metropole.

Again Dixon Jones is on the Linking tactics panel with a different "cast" including Rob Kerry and Mike Grehan.

Later on Day 1, we are talking on "What’s new with the algorithm". On Day 2 we are "Diagnosing search problems" with Matt Paines (one of our regular writers) amongst others.

4th – 7th December: Pubcon, Las Vegas

One of the largest conferences of the industry calendar, run by Webmasterworld.

Receptional will be represented by Andy Langton, Receptional’s CTO and Dixon Jones.

Dixon Jones is a moderator at Webmasterworld, as well as a speaker. At the time of writing this article, the conference agenda is yet to be finalised, but Receptional are moderating a panel on "International and European Site Optimization" and also one of the ever popular site clinic sessions.
