Google has given its URL shortening service its own domain, http://goo.gl. With added features, goo.gl has been released for public use.
Previously only accessible through the Google Toolbar and Feedburner, now it is has its own public domain. This service allows users who are logged in to view real-time analytics data, complete with traffic over time, top referrers and visitor profiles. Google have doubled the speed of their tool since it first went into action in December.
Goo.gl becomes one of a many number of URL shorteners out there, including Receptional’s very own URL shortener, which can be found amongst several useful internet marketing tools over at Receptional Labs.
