Mobile Advertising

Receptional are pleased to announce a new mobile PPC advertising service available to all new clients interested in harnessing the potential of mobile traffic. Mobile traffic now comprises a large and ever increasing share of web traffic thanks to the recent technological developments in Smartphone and mobile tablet technology.

Rapid growth of mobile internet users

There has been a dramatic increase in the volume of mobile traffic over the past 12 months, with Smartphone sales forecast to overtake PC sales by mid-2013!* This growth in the volume of mobile internet users has meant that mobile advertising spend has risen by 118% year- on-year between 2009 and 2010 alone, highlighting the increasing importance and potential of mobile traffic.  The graph below highlights the uplift in mobile traffic between 2009 to present, with the volume of traffic growing considerably as more and more visitors browse their website from their mobile devices.

Drive performance and build your brand

Our mobile service offers advertisers the ability to target those on mobile devices with pay per click advertising, either through the display of PPC ads on search results pages, or on select websites that display Google AdWords advertising.

PPC advertising on Google’s Mobile platform works on both a pay-per-click, as well as a pay-per-call basis, meaning that your ads can link either to your website directly or, can display a number which users can immediately call from their Smartphone in order to be connected to your business.

Click-to-call adverts

The image below shows an example of a mobile advert as displayed on a Smartphone. The second Ad for ‘Hotels in London’ is an example of a click-to-call advert that connects visitors directly to the number displayed.

Example of click-to-call mobile advertising

We are already seeing significant increases in mobile traffic for our client base, a prime example of which is shown below. The chart shows the number of visitors from mobile devices for 2009, 2010, and a forecast rate for 2011 (based on mobile traffic levels from between 1st January to 25th May 2011). This traffic is for a major UK travel brand but clearly highlights the importance of mobile advertising.

Take advantage of low mobile advertising competition

At present, very few advertisers are taking advantage of the opportunities available and either ignoring, or are unaware of, the potential offered by mobile traffic. This means that a small amount of advertisers from each industry are effectively gaining a much larger share of traffic, often by bidding on their competitors brands with mobile ads.

Mobile pay per click traffic is therefore currently cheaper (per click) than traditional pay per click advertising through the search engines, and presents an opportunity for advertisers to target their desired audiences effectively, before the inevitable rush to ensure full mobile adverting display by the remainder of the market.

We can help you to achieve the most from your mobile marketing strategy by offering:

  • Dedicated Mobile keyword research.
  • The creation of dedicated Mobile ad copy.
  • Complete campaign set-up.
  • Full site traffic tracking and analysis.
