In 2015 Receptional started working with Britannia Row on an overhaul of its website.

Britannia Row provide high-end audio rental and technical talent for gigs and events. Over the years, the business has worked with the best musicians in the business – Pink Floyd, Robbie Williams, Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Frank Sinatra, and many others.

Background:

The existing website needed a refresh as it wasn’t mobile-friendly. What’s more, the business wanted to sell its old audio equipment online.

Here’s how we helped:

  • We conducted keyword research to understand what the site’s visitors are looking for.
  • We designed a new, up-to-date look and feel – suitable for mobiles, tablets and desktops.
  • We built an easy-to-use WordPress site which is both search engine optimisation friendly and easily updated.

The results:

  1. One-third of the site’s traffic arrives via a mobile device so we designed and developed a mobile-friendly, responsive site.
  2. The business wanted to be able to sell off audio equipment which it no longer uses. To facilitate this we added ecommerce features which will allow the business to sell items online, manage its stock and increase profitability.
  3. The business also provides training for audio students. We therefore integrated training software so that students can sign up for courses and learn online.
  4. We added an employer zonewhere students can add their CVs and look for work.
  5. Finally, we installed Google Analyticsand agreed a measurement plan this enables us to monitor more accurately how visitors interact with the site and helps to continue improving its performance.
