In 2016 Receptional started working with GIS Home Improvements on an overhaul of its website.

Background:

GIS Home improvements is a well-established, family-run company and is one of the south-east’s leading suppliers of windows, doors and conservatories. The existing website was in serious need of a refresh. GIS wanted to create a welcoming website to generate new business.

Here’s how we helped:

  • We conducted keyword research to understand more clearly what the site’s visitors are looking for. We then used this information to plan the site and its key sales pages.
  • We designed a new mobile-friendly look and feel. We ensured it’s content is well optimised with relevant keywords.
  • We developed a clean, simple WordPress site. The website is now search engine optimisation (SEO) friendly, easily updated and generates real, new-business, enquiries every day.

  • On the site we added plenty of opportunities for visitors to get in touch – by live chat, phone and email. The business now receives a stream of enquiries every day.
  • We run paid ads (PPC) and organic (SEO) campaigns to generate more traffic from Google. As a result, traffic increased by 209% in the first month.
  • We installed Google Analytics so we’re better able to see how visitors behave on the site and we’re able to continue improving it’s performance.
