Over the course of a year, Receptional worked with children’s clothing retailer, Vertbaudet, to improve its organic rankings.

By the end of the project the site had reached first position for crucial terms such as ‘boys clothing’ and ‘girls clothing’.

Here’s how we did it.

The objectives

Our brief was to improve rankings for high-traffic terms that would generate significant increases in sales.

  • We published specially written content on the Vertbaudet website and on third-party sites. These generated the links needed to improve the site’s rankings.
  • We created an online PR campaign – a series of biweekly announcements over a nine-month period to promote the content and generate online mentions and links.
  • Our blogger outreach campaign helped build relationships with relevant bloggers – and links from product reviews.

The results

At the start of the campaign, the target keywords generated little or no traffic.
