How Receptional helped the Ramblers generate new memberships using Google Grants

In 2014 Receptional started working with the Ramblers, Britain’s walking charity.

Over a 3-month period we used the Google Grant scheme to advertise for free.

The result: we generated 356 new memberships for the organisation.

About Google Grants

Google Ad Grants allow registered charities to advertise on Google’s search pages for free.

Initially, a charity can access to up to £78,000/year of free AdWords advertising with a charity pay per click account.

How we helped

Here’s how we helped the Ramblers boost its income:

  • Receptional applied to Google on behalf of the charity and was successfully accepted on the Google Grants scheme.
  • Our experienced consultants set up a highly targeted campaign, aimed at increasing membership numbers.
  • Over the first three months, we tested ad copy and targeting, with the aim of increasing traffic and conversions.
  • As a result, in the first month traffic increased by 35%.

What the client says

“Receptional has provided a real insight, and the conversion rates have been incredibly impressive in such a short space of time.

Their customer service is excellent and I’d happily recommend them – I’m looking forward to our next campaigns,”
