How Receptional’s link building increased traffic 25-fold for Bedroom Storage Maker

Receptional started working with Bedroom Storage Maker, a provider of custom storage solutions for the home, in the autumn of 2014. At the time, its website attracted little traffic, had few backlinks and was not appearing in Google’s search rankings.

The aim of the project was to increase search traffic and, as a result, generate more sales.

Here’s how we helped:

  • We conducted a SEO site audit to ensure the site’s pages are well optimized. We made numerous on site changes including adding blog content, creating free downloads, adding a competitor comparison page and sharpening up the checkout process.
  • Created a list of 20 target keywords and phrases. We then began to build links to increase the position of Bedroom Storage Maker in Google’s search results.
  • Attracted links from relevant websites by creating valuable guides on storage, home decoration tips and de-cluttering that could be downloaded and shared by readers. We also created fun content on a number of sites that could be shared on social media, improving brand awareness.

The results:

After 12 months the site’s traffic had increased rapidly:

  • Organic traffic increased 2,505% year on year
  • During the year the site’s 20 target keywords increased by 134 places.
  • Nine keywords now appear in the top 5 positions in Google’s search results
