How Conversion Rate Testing Generated 126% More Enquiries for Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise Senior Living runs 27 luxury care homes across the UK. The business launched a new website in the spring of 2014. Over the subsequent nine months Receptional ran a conversion rate testing programme that boosted conversion rates by 126%.

How Receptional helped:

  • Before launching any tests on the website, Receptional used a combination of Google Analytics data, heat maps, and user testing to find areas of the site that were underperforming.
  • We then produced new designs for the site’s key sales pages that we felt, based on the evidence we had collected, would improve the site’s conversion rates.
  • Over time, we ran A/B split tests on the home page, services pages and on each care home’s landing page.

The results:

  • The redesign of the site’s home page boosted conversion rates by 43%
  • A simple change of design on the care home’s landing pages increased conversions by 28%
  • Overall, the site’s conversion rate more-than-doubled, from 5.0% to 11.3% (a 126% increase).
