Dixon, Barrie and I headed down to the Emirates stadium in London last night, to attend the inaugural Search Awards, arriving as mere mortals and leaving victorious, award held high with pride. Dressed suitably dapper, we worked the room before taking our seats for the pre-award meal.
The hospitality at the Emirates was fantastic. The three course meal was partnered with what seemed to be an unending supply of wine, with the awards followed by an evening of blackjack and roulette and monopoly money – which is just as well because by the end, we’d lost it all!
As the evening worked its way round to the category of Best SEO Software, our table let out a triumphant roar as Dixon and Barrie headed up to collect the award. The Receptional team have been doing brilliant work with Majestic SEO, and this was a proud moment for all.
We were also nominated for Best Use of Search for our work with children’s clothes retailer Vertbaudet. The team have been doing fantastic work in getting them to number one positions on Google for many of their search terms, knocking all the major UK brands off the top spots – a nomination that was well deserved.
In both categories we were up against some of the toughest competition in the industry, but we prevailed, and that’s down to the great team here at Receptional!
