It’s been a busy year so far for Receptional and its employees so I’m going to look at a selection of conferences we’ve attended and discuss ways in which we’ve gained exposure around the web.

Dixon has been clocking up the air miles this year attending some of the top Internet Marketing conferences around the world, guest speaking at several of the events.

Search Engine Strategies

First-up was the Search Engine Strategies (SES) conference in New York held on the 22nd-26th March 2010. The three-day conference was jam-packed with presentations suitable for marketers of all levels, with Dixon taking part in a presentation about SEO tools.

Only a few weeks later and Dixon was once again heading across the pond when he went to the Pubcon conference in Dallas. Majestic SEO helped sponsor the event as Dixon spoke about Link Building.

Slightly closer to home was the Search Marketing Expo held in London on 17th-18th May 2010. Again Dixon schooled the attendees on Link Building as well as being a moderator on various discussion panels throughout the two-day conference.

Only last week was the A4Uexpo London where Barrie accompanied Dixon to the two-day event which covered an array of topics. Dixon was once again a guest speaker, discussing both SEO ranking factors and advising on how to create successful affiliate marketing websites.

It’s not just conferences and events where Receptional have been getting their name about. Dixon was interviewed by Wordstream as part of their ‘industry expert’s interview series’, discussing his dual role with Majestic and Receptional as well as providing an insight in to link building techniques.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been trying to get Receptional employees more involved within the industry, with a particular focus on guest blogging. With this in mind, Nick Andrews was accepted as an author on Search Engine Journal while Miles will be our representative on Search Engine Land. Nick and Miles now have the opportunity to not only build their reputations within the community but also enhance Receptional’s industry profile.

Miles also wrote a very interesting blog post about Google Instant that was promoted to a ‘hot’ article on Sphinn, as well as winning Receptional’s September ‘Blog of the Month’ competition.
