The Houston Theatre District has been chosen by the Web Marketing Association (WMA) as the Best Art Industry Winner at the tenth annual international WebAward Competition.
Some 96 websites are chosen during the awards, as representing the best web effort that their respective industries have to show for that year.
The goal of the annual Web Award competition is to provide an arena where the best and motive innovative sites on the web are recognised.
William Rice, president of the WMA, said: "Art websites are as unique as the art forms they represent and relish in wonderful designs and content.
"Judging feedback included the need for Art websites to strive to incorporate technology and interactive mediums into their designs."
Last year the San Jose Repertory Theatre website won the coveted award.
This year Today’s Military won the Best of the Military Industry Website Winner award.
Websites in this category are judged on design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywritingand ease of use.
