Search Engine Optimisation is a large part of what we do here at Receptional. Starting out back in 1999, we have witnessed the industry growing in leaps and bounds to become not only a fantastic discipline, but also a great close-knit community.
At the beginning of this month, we set out to record the Top 50 SEO Bloggers of 2011, based on their influence within the industry, the majority of which we knew, with a small handful that this list has introduced us to. The list was sorted in terms of the bloggers’ Klout scores. We didn’t just want a measurement of how much traffic, or how many links that blogger has amassed over the years, but rather how influential they are within the industry. The scores, along with links were collated on the 4th November 2011.
So, after four previous blog posts counting down some of the leading bloggers in the SEO industry, Receptional is proud to bring you the top 10 bloggers in our list of Top 50 SEO Bloggers of 2011. Enjoy!

First, thanks for including me on this list. I feel woefully underqualified to be alongside these great names, but it's great nonetheless!
One person you missed, I think, is Tom Critchlow. He's not as active on social media, but he teaches some really smart stuff when he blogs.
Interesting list there
Interesting list there Michael. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations
Some pretty cool people you have on the list! I'm surprised some of my favorite ones are buried. Yet, this is after all your blog & your opinion. :) Thanks for taking the time to share them!

I'd recommend checking out Ian Lurie's Conversation Marketing blog at http://www.conversationmarketing.com/. It is a little broader than SEO but great stuff when he posts. I was also surprised to see Bill Slawski's SEO by the Sea so low on the rankings. I feel his blog provides some very unique insights into the workings of search engines.
Helpful List
Great list of bloggers for the SEO industry. Most of them are pretty well known and followed heavily, but I saw a couple on the lists that I've not see before and I'm going to subscribe now so that I can start checking them out. Thanks for sharing!
