Google to open advertising branch in India

Google has announced it is open an online advertising branch in Gurgaon, India.

The search engine's new Online Sales and Operations centre will advise customers on the best use of its advertising programme AdWords.

Director David Fischer said: "Our goal is to find the best people worldwide to provide the best search experience for our users, partners and advertisers around the world."

Mr Fischer added the new facility will provide a similar service to the company's Hyderabad branch which was experiencing "tremendous success" as it provides support on all aspects of advertising with Google.

AdWords aims to help businesses of all sizes to use targeted advertisements to attract users to their products and services as they search the internet.

Earlier this year, a report by e-Marketer claimed Google was set to claims 25 per cent of America's online advertising market.
