Apple iPhones Hit by BST Alarm Glitch

Some iPhone owners may have gained back their hours sleep in expense for being late on Monday morning after a glitch caused their alarms to malfunction.

iPhone users found their wake-up alert coming one hour early, late or not going off at all.

The malfunction related to the clocks going forward for British Summer Time.  However it does not appear to have affected everyone.  Similar problems have previously hit iPhone users in the USA.

Looking at user reports, the glitch seemed to affect non-recurring alarms set within the iPhone’s calendar application, and not its recurrent alarm clock.
