Apple Launches 2nd iPad Tablet

Apple has launched a second version of its iPad tablet computer at an event in San Francisco just two months after the release of the original Apple iPad.

Held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and hosted by Apple chief executive Steve Jobs, the company said their latest device features a faster processor, improved graphics, and front and rear cameras.

Apple has billed the iPad 2 as a slimmer, lighter and faster machine than the original.

The new iPad features the company’s latest dual core A5 processor, which is claimed to deliver twice the processing power of the original iPad.

The iPad 2 will go on sale in the UK on the 25th March, two weeks after its US release.

The original iPad has seen price drops of £100 today.

15 million iPads have been sold since 2010.
