A number of Hotmail users have posted complaints on Microsoft forums complaining that their emails have been deleted.

People around the world said emails were missing from their inbox and other folders within their Hotmail email accounts.

A spokeswoman for Microsoft said that the issue was not a widespread problem and by Sunday (2nd) evening the issue was "fully resolved". The company has apologised for any inconvenience.

I myself deleted a couple of emails from my Hotmail account over the weekend, but did not record on Microsoft forums that they have now disappeared from my inbox.
