Google has announced that their Hotpot platform is now being merged into Places.

Having introduced Hotpot last November, Google is now going to add their rate and review feature into their Places platform.

Their announcement made no intention of the functionality changing, and the URL, www.google.co.uk/hotpot still works. Although we’ll presume this will later redirect.

There are Google Hotpot iPhone and Android apps available, and integrated Hotpot recommendations on Google.co.uk and Google Maps.
