Google Invests $100m in another Clean Energy Source

Following a recent investment in a German solar power plant, Google has now invested approximately $100 million (£61.14m) in the Shepherds Flat Wind Farm near Arlington, Oregon, USA.

Anticipated to be the largest wind farm in the world, the Shepherds Flat Wind Farm is due to be completed in 2012 and will produce 845 MW of energy – enough to power more than 235,000 homes.

Google’s total investment in clean energy is now over $350 million.
