Government Considers UK Net Controls

The government is speaking to Internet Service Proviers (ISPs) about potentially blocking access to websites deemed to aid people infringe copyright.

With help of ISPs and content markets, the government is figuring out how such a proactive blocking system would work.  The creation of a working group that would investigate such systems was setup off the back of a meeting attended by ISPs and rights holders in late February.
