Illegal UK Film Downloads on the Rise

New figures suggest that the number of illegally downloaded films has gone up by nearly 30% in the UK over the past five years.

Envisional, who carried out the research indicated that the top five box office movies were illegally downloaded 1.4 million times in the UK over the past year.

Film industry bosses have had their say, claiming it costs their industry £170m ever year and puts thousands of jobs at risk.

The research also indicates a big rise in TV shows being pirated online.
