Microsoft have released a panoramic photo app named Photosynth that allows users to capture panoramas of our favourite places and share them with friends, and even across the globe with Bing Maps.
Photosynth, available on iTunes and iOS offers interactive panoramas that allow us to look left, right, up and down to capture more of the places we visit.
Using the latest in computer vision technology, the Microsoft app creates sharp, high-resolution results. You can process, view and store your panoramas directly on your device.
There is the option to upload your panorama to Facebook or on Photosynth.net. Or you may choose to publish your panoramas to Bing Maps with Bing local business listings.
This app is available for a variety of iOS devices, including the iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPod Touch Fourth Generation and the iPad 2 running iOS 4.1 and later. You can download Photosynth for free from the iTunes App Store at http://www.itunes.com/apps/photosynth
