Microsoft Update Failed for 1 in 10 Users

1 in 10 users who tried to install a software update on their Windows mobile had problems doing so, Microsoft has revealed.

Windows mobile owners reported a range of problems following the download, including phones crashing and others becoming completely unusable.

Soon after the problem came to knowledge, Microsoft hauled the update.

Michael Stroh wrote on the Microsoft website: "Has the update process gone perfectly? No—but few large-scale software updates ever do, and the engineering team here was prepared.”

The issue appears to have only affected Samsung handsets, particularly the Omnia 7 model.

Microsoft have said that most of the users that were affected either had a bad internet connection or too little storage on their computer they were installing from.

Microsoft has only recently announced a deal with Nokia regarding the running of Windows mobile on their smartphone devices.
