Samsung Galaxy Phone Ban in European Countries

A number of European countries have banned Samsung from selling three models of their Galaxy smartphones.

The injunction has been handed down by a Netherlands court following an Apple-filed claim for patent infringement.

Apple had claimed Samsung had copied their technology in relation to way photos are displayed on mobile devices.

The embargo is due to come into effect in seven weeks.  It will prohibit sales of these devices by three of Samsung’s Dutch subsidiaries to the United Kingdom, Finland, France, Germany, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Republic of Ireland, Sweden and Switzerland.
