Sony Relaunches PlayStation Network

As of yesterday, Sony has begun restoring its online PlayStation video game network.

Sony has made this move more than three weeks after they discovered a huge security breach that resulted in the theft of personal date from millions of its users.

The company said that it expects to have their network services fully restored by the end of May.

Sony has said it would be offering a “welcome back” package to its users which will include some premium content.

They first made the security breach discovery on April 20th.  It took the company two days to contact the police and nearly a week to inform its affected users.

Sony hired specialist cyber-security firms to investigate the incident.
