Yahoo Plans to Cut 10% of its Staff

Yahoo is preparing to lay off at least 10% of its employees, in a reduction force that will go ahead in December.

The job cuts will mainly be in the product organisation section, under Chief Product Officer Blake Irving. Given that part of Yahoo has around 6,500 employees, that would mean around 650 staff will be losing their jobs at Yahoo in time for Christmas.

In total, Yahoo has more than 14,000 employees and has undergone many layoffs previously.
