Yahoo! have unveiled a brand new design for their Image Search results page.

The new results page is neatly tiled, with each image now equally sized.  Each image becomes large once you hover over it.

In addition to displaying the ‘Top Images’, Yahoo!’s new Image Search includes three new category tabs:

Latest: Appears only for image search results of trending topics.

Galleries: Appears for image search results that include photo galleries from Yahoo! News, Flickr and OMG.

Facebook: If you are logged into your Facebook account with Yahoo! Image Search, results include matches from your Facebook friends’ name, photo album names or album descriptions.

This update is so far this update works for images.yahoo.com, but not uk.images.search.yahoo.com.
