Microsoft and Google are the two of the most popular websites in Britain, a new survey has revealed.
Figures released by comScore Networks show that during November Microsoft sites were visited for 24.97 million times - just 65,000 more than Google sites attracted.
However, in October, Google was the most visited, attracting 18,000 more visitors than websites under the Microsoft brand.
Meanwhile, retailers such as eBay, Tesco and Amazon were all in the top 15 most visited websites.
Managing director of comScore Europe Bob Ivins said: "As expected, due to the holiday shopping season, the sites posting the strongest gains versus last month were predominantly online retailers."
GUS, which owned Argos before demerging in October, had the highest visitor rise in the top 15 - up 24 per cent in November from the previous month.
Claiming to be a "global leader in measuring the digital age", comScore monitors the behavioural trends of more than two million internet users across the world.
