Yahoo! has announced the roll out of its mobile advertising service in Britain.
Under the scheme, users will view advertisements displayed near the top of Yahoo!'s mobile internet home page.
Consumers will be able to click on the interactive advertisements where they will be able to learn more about the services offered or go straight to the advertisers' websites.
Steve Boom, senior vice president for mobile and broadband, said: "Yahoo!'s clear leadership in internet display advertising combined with the global reach and popularity of our mobile services makes it natural that top advertisers are coming to us to go mobile."
Advertisers involved in the scheme include Intel, Nissan and Pepsi.
The service has also been extended to countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
In November last year, Yahoo! and Vodafone formed an exclusive display advertising partnership in Britain, which has seen the search engine firm supply advertisements through a number of Vodafone services.
Last month Yahoo! launched a new search marketing model, ranking advertisements on quality as well as the bidding price companies paid for keywords.
