Yahoo! makes video news service easy as ABC

Yahoo! has announced it is to expand its video content partnership with American news provider ABC.

Under the deal, the search engine company is set to receive video footage from breaking news stories, interviews and features. Clips from television programmes such as 20/20 and Good Morning America will also be available.

Manager of Yahoo! News Neil Budde said: "We've worked very hard in the last year to make it a bigger partnership, and this agreement just steps up our relationship with the top video news provider."

He added: "ABC News has lots of assets that work well with us."

The service is set to be integrated through Yahoo!'s existing news pages and will be funded by advertisers.

Earlier this month, Yahoo!, in conjunction with news agency Reuters, revealed details of a website that allows users to submit pictures and video footage alongside professional news reports.
