Yahoo! has announced details of a partnership with IBM that will offer businesses a free search service.
Although IBM's OmniFind product currently allows companies to search through internal documents, the new edition will combine the results with internet searches generated by Yahoo!, reports Reuters.
The publication added that IBM hopes the service will help improve its relationship with small businesses.
Reuters also claimed that the two companies are looking to "shake up the field of enterprise search", which is currently being dominated by Google.
Forrester Research analyst Matthew Brown told the publication: "They [Yahoo! and IBM] are going to create a real headache for Google at that tier."
Google is currently selling similar search appliances for between $2,000 (£1,014) and $30,000.
Earlier this week, a report by Brand Republic claimed Yahoo! wants major British brands to sponsor its Answers service.
