Through the deal Morris will be able to reach a significantly wider audience for the distribution of search services, graphical content and advertising, whilst Yahoo! will be able to extend the services on offer to its customers.
Morris is currently part of a recently established media consortium. Its operations include the publication of newspapers, magazines, books and visitor guides, online services and radio broadcasting.
"We will be reaching a huge audience that extends way beyond our current newspaper web sites," stated a Morris spokesperson.
"This will substantially broaden our online audiences and allow us to better serve our customers with a valuable advertising network that provides the information they need."
Yahoo! recently decided to work with Akimbo, the online video-on-demand service, in a deal that will enable subscribers to access the Yahoo! Video service.
