Search Marketing goes from strength to strength
The UK market for internet marketing is strong and healthy, bucking all the current trends predicting doom and gloom, and economic downturn:
• The latest report from eConsultancy, UK Search Marketing Report 2008, that surveyed over 1000 UK companies, shows that the UK market for search marketing remains very healthy, with 63% of companies taking part stating they would be increasing their paid search budget over the next 12 months, (9% of those surveyed have online budgets of over £1 million)
• Another recent news announcement, from Google, helps to support this healthy trend, as they post 1st Quarter results that show a 42% revenue growth on the same period last year, growing to £2.6bn
• The eConsultancy report also finds that more companies are turning to agencies to handle their search marketing needs, with the most popular services being Keyword Research, for both SEO and PPC, and Landing Page Development
• Clients identify prime commercial metrics, such as driving online sales, and increasing leads generation as their key measures of success, when evaluating online marketing
These findings are in line with our own experience at Receptional, where we have seen greatly increased interest in our range of services, and existing clients using a wider range of search tactics to improve their online performance. In a market that is constantly changing and developing, clients increasingly look to specialist agencies to use their knowledge and skill to increase their competitive advantage, and raise their online brand profile.
