The PDC World Darts Championship 2025 is just around the corner, and we – along with the cult like following of fans worldwide – couldn’t be more excited. It’s safe to say, we’re gearing up for another electrifying showdown at the Alexandra Palace.

“Ally Pally” will once again transform into a cauldron of passion, skill, and unrelenting drama, as the world’s top dart throwers take to the oche. Whether it’s the roar of the crowd or the iconic walk ons, there’s no denying the magic that overflows from the grandest stage of them all.

Will we see the defending champion Luke Humphries hold tight to his crown, or will perennial contenders like Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson rise to the challenge? And, of course, it wouldn’t be the PDC Worlds without some surprises, so could this be the year of an underdog?

As we get ready for this event that has grown from a niche competition to a global phenomenon, the key questions linger on everyone’s mind: Who’s going to win? What are the odds?

That’s certainly the question on our minds at Receptional. And you best believe, with a passionate sporting culture across the agency, we’ve got more than our fair share of potential answers.

So, let’s dive into the expert predictions and insights from our Receptionauts and explore the odds for some of the favourites to win. The excitement for the PDC World Darts Championship is just beginning!

Receptional’s predictions

We’ve got the lowdown on some of the expert insights and predictions from our Receptionauts, who are eager to see the great matches ahead unfold.

Strategy and Insights Manager, Will Maisey, seems keen that either Chris Dobey or Gary Anderson will win the PDC darts, whilst Senior Paid Media Manager, Harvey Booth, says he’s “going with The Nuke (Luke Littler), just like the bookies, but mainly because he’s won 10 titles this year and lives just up the road from me”.

And he’s not the only one backing The Nuke, since Client Services Account Manager, Rhea Jones, and Paid Media Account Director, Sophie Williams, are also predicting Luke Littler to come out on top.

And of course, our Sports Writer, Harvey Cleere, had his own unique insight on how he thinks things are looking to play out:

“An outside shot but a fans favourite, Stephen Bunting knows how to work the Ally Pally crowd. The Bullet transforms north London into a symphony of song when he walks on to Titanium by David Guetta, and after reaching the fourth-round last year, beating the likes of Ryan Joyce and Florian Hempel without dropping a set, he was unfortunate to come up against three-time world champ MVG when he did.

66/1 odds make it a long shot for the scouser, but let’s all go Bunting mental for the world number eight and 2024 Masters winner.”

It’s a mixed crowd over on our side. And as it should be. With such a vast selection of talent and sheer entertainment being promised, who knows what the Championship holds?

What are the odds looking like?

For those who enjoy combining their love of the game with a sports bet, the betting odds for the darts provide fascinating insights into the tournament landscape. Here’s how the odds are shaping up:
