Receptional Excels with 9 Nominations at the UK Search Awards 2016

Receptional Excels with 9 Nominations at the UK Search Awards 2016

Exciting news hit the Receptional office yesterday as the UK Search Awards 2016 shortlist was announced. It was revealed that we have been shortlisted for not one, not two, but nine awards!

We are particularly chuffed as no other agency in the UK has been nominated more times than Receptional.

The awards we have been shortlisted for include:

Best use of Search Finance: Receptional and Liberis – Helping Small Businesses Grow

Liberis offers alternative loans to small businesses. And Receptional helped the financial firm target a range of finance-related keywords to help their target market discover their services.

The campaign to boost these keywords included the creation of specific landing pages and promotional content. We created and promoted industry surveys, designed infographics and provided some great coverage on industry blogs.

Liberis’ website has seen an increase in organic traffic month on month and first position rankings many of its target keywords.

Best use of Search Third Sector

Receptional’s work with charities was also recognised. We achieved two nominations in the third-sector category:

Receptional and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust – Helping 75,000 women access advice and support about cervical cancer

Jo’s Trust aims to raise awareness of cervical cancer and its challenges. Receptional started work by restructuring the charity’s existing paid search (PPC) campaigns. We re-wrote ads to make them more relevant to the audience and added a variety of ad extensions, including mobile variations, so that the ads stand out in Google’s listings.

These enhancements saw impressive results. For example, the campaign’s impression share increased from 9% to 26% in the first three months. Click-through rates and other key metrics also improved, while cost per click fell.

How Receptional attracted 200000 more visitors to Asthma UK

Receptional also works with Asthma UK. Initially, we conducted keyword research, competitor research and identified any seasonal trends. Our campaign involved re-writing and enhancing existing ads.

With a relatively small budget Receptional’s PPC team were able to successfully apply for Google Grants Pro. At the same time we increased the campaign’s impression share from less than 10% to 52%. PPC traffic trebled.

Best use of Search Retail: Fit for purpose – How Receptional saved Discount Supplements more than £1 million.

A joint effort from our PPC and SEO activities saw Discount Supplements save more than £1million on ad spend, while improving its profits.

Our PPC team used the latest innovations in AdWords functionality to gain a competitive edge. Highlights of the campaign included the use of Remarketing Lists for Search Ads, improved attribution, Expanded Text Ads and more, but we can’t reveal all of our secrets!

This work dovetailed with a really creative SEO campaign that involved the creation and promotion of an Alternative Healthy Christmas Cookbook, several infographics, and some fantastic PR coverage.

Best Local Campaign: How Receptional knitted its way to the top of Googles local results – Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise Senior Living provides luxury care at 27 care homes across the UK.

Receptional’s SEO and PPC campaigns focussed on attracting traffic from the local area – as most people look for a care home close to the place they already live.

We ran a series of SEO campaigns. Most notably, #knitforwinter, saw us approaching bloggers and knitting fanatics alike to knit ventilator bonnets and blankets for First Touch, the premature babies’ charity. Once they had completed the task they were asked to blog about the campaign ensuring they included a link back to their local Sunrise community, boosting the rankings of the local care homes in Google’s results.

The other nominations were:

Best Cross Device Campaign: Joining the dots between desktop mobile and telephone for a 1600% increase in leads – Gracewell Healthcare

Receptional’s work on redesigning the Gracewell Healthcare website was recognised in the best cross-device category.

Best Small PPC Agency & Best Small SEO Agency

Receptional has been nominated as both the best small PPC agency and the best small SEO agency in the UK. Both categories are open to agencies with 25 staff or fewer.

Best Young Search Professional: Rob Newhouse, Receptional

Receptional’s SEO consultant, Rob Newhouse, has been nominated in the ‘Best Young Search Professional’ category. Rob joined Receptional straight from school, in September 2013, as an apprentice. Since then he has been promoted twice, first to the position of Marketing Executive, then to SEO Consultant.

Rob has specialised in on-page SEO, analytics and web design. He has excelled and now plays a key role in the agency, leading the work of some of our largest clients.

The UK Search Awards recognises the best campaigns from the past 12 months. No other agency has been nominated for more awards than Receptional.

The winners of the awards will be announced at the glitzy London ceremony, hosted by comedian Jason Manford, on November 30th.
