Receptional leads the shortlist for the UK Search Awards 2017

The shortlist has been revealed and Receptional comes out on top with 10 nominations

The Receptional office is buzzing with excitement today. The UK Search Awards 2017 shortlist was announced earlier and we are pleased to have been shortlisted for 10 awards this year (one more than last year’s record).

For the second year in succession, no other agency has received more nominations than Receptional.

Last year we won two awards: Best Small PPC Agency and Best Cross-Device Campaign.

The awards we have been shortlisted for include:

Best Small PPC Agency

After winning last year’s award Receptional has again been nominated for best PPC Agency. It will be tough, but we are hoping to defend the title.

Best Small Integrated Agency

Receptional has been nominated for Best Small Integrated Agency.

This is particularly pleasing as we have embraced cross-device and cross-channel marketing over the past few years. We have recruited designers, developers and sector specialists.

We’re confident the challenges of a multi-screen world have made us a more effective, more enthusiastic and better integrated agency than ever before. Let’s hope the judges agree.

Best Use of Search Retail

Discount Supplements & Receptional: putting muscle into mobile

Discount Supplements is a leading UK retailer, a supplier of high-quality diet supplements for body builders, keep-fit enthusiasts and anyone looking to manage their weight.
Online buying habits have changed. Receptional built an attribution model, so we could understand this new behaviour and target our PPC and SEO campaigns more efficiently. We are delighted with the insights we gained and the commercial results.

Best Use of Search Finance and Best Use of Search B2B

Liberis and Receptional – Funding the Future of UK Small Business

Liberis offers alternative loans to small businesses. And Receptional helped the financial firm target a range of finance-related keywords.

We took on Liberis’ big-budget competitors promoting their brand and producing lively content, across a range of verticals. We have successfully gained publicity in a range of publications, from Small Business to Pet Gazette.

Best Use of Search Third Sector

Receptional’s work with charities was recognised again this year, achieving two nominations in the third-sector category:

MQ & Receptional: Helping 70,000 people access mental health information

MQ: Transforming Mental Health is a relatively new UK charity dedicated to funding research and furthering understanding of mental illnesses.

The account restructure and ongoing work by Receptional has generated results beyond our initial expectations. Not only were 100 times as many people able to discover useful mental health information but also we surpassed our targets for the first year in under three months.

Receptional & Concern Worldwide – Planning For Disaster

Concern Worldwide does vital work helping the poorest, most vulnerable people around the world. The charity’s aims are to tackle hunger and transform lives.

We worked closely with Concern Worldwide to develop an advertising plan for disaster response, which can be rolled out quickly should it be needed in future.

We used both a Google Ad Grant and a limited budget to give this worthy cause an increase in exposure, clicks and, of course, donations.

Best Local Campaign

Signature & Receptional – Finding a Local Care Home Made Easy

Signature is a provider of high-end care homes. The mission is simple: “To provide exceptional care, delivered by compassionate people, in the highest quality homes.”

This was a highly focused campaign, with a limited budget. It was successful because we researched the audience thoroughly and set up Analytics allowing us to track typical user journeys across devices. By taking a multi-channel approach, we were able to top the search results in each of the campaign’s location.

Best PPC Campaign

Receptional & Bill Plant Driving School: Driving 257% more conversions and a 161% increase in revenue

Our work with Bill Plant Driving School looked beyond PPC. We improved the site’s landing pages, set up YouTube remarketing lists, and integrated our work social media activity.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie awards ceremony, hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, in London on November 30th.

Keep your fingers crossed!
