David Smith

David Smith is our resident academic who studied and taught engineering at Iowa State University in the USA before returning to the UK as a Senior Lecturer at Cranfield University and then the Senior Business Development Manager at Silsoe Research Institute.

Although one of Receptional's founding members, David is now semi-retired, having passed over to Stephen and Andy the day to day responsibility for overseeing and co-ordinating all projects undertaken by Receptional, ensuring that client expectations are met and exceeded.

His other interests include model engineering and horse riding; he frequently acts as a guide and escort on horse riding holidays around the world with Unicorn Trails.
